PCANZ is a member run, national, non profit organisation that promotes contemporary fine art printmaking.
Through workshops, exhibitions, collaborations and exchanges between members and national and international associations, we foster a greater appreciation of printmaking among our members and the wider community.
‘Contemporary Printmaking of Aoteraoa: A kōrero of thoughts and ideas’ Exhibition 2025
Call for Entries
Print Council Aotearoa New Zealand selected member exhibition open to all members from 15 December 2025 to 22 February 2026. To be held at Ashburton Art Gallery. Printmaking is often perceived as work of two dimensions framed on a wall. The challenge of this exhibition is to encourage printmakers to explore subjects meaningful to them. The work may address a cross-over of disciplines and materials. Opening: Saturday 13 December at 6pm. Exhibition Selector: Jacqueline Aust
10 by 10 by 10 Print Exchange Project 2025
An antidote to doom-scrolling! Participants will create and submit 10 prints of 10 cm by 10 cm size centred on 14 cm by 14 cm paper. These can be printed as an edition or as 10 unique prints. It’s up to you!
Prints to be submitted by 31 October 2025.

‘With Ruth in Mind’ Exhibition 2025
A selected exhibition open to all PCANZ members at the Ruth Davey Gallery, Artspost, Hamilton from 10 July to 10 August 2025. In recognition of Ruth Davey and her importance in Aotearoa New Zealand regional art, the exhibition of prints are inspired by Ruth’s work. Exhibition Selector Kathy Boyle.
Opening Saturday 12 July. 1pm - 3pm.

Small Print 2025 - now underway
The 2025-2026 series of Small Print, the PCANZ unselected exhibition of A4 prints is now underway. The exhibition tours Aotearoa each year, hosted by different galleries around the motū. There are at least 10 months of exhibitions, with new prints submitted each year. Prints are available for purchase at $100 each.

It was an exciting, immersive week of printmaking and connecting with printmakers from around the country. This year we were thrilled to have two international tutors (from Australia and Canada) alongside our tutors from around Aotearoa.
