The PCANZ 2025 Summer School programme is now open for expressions of interest!

An exciting, immersive week of printmaking and connecting with printmakers from around the country.

This year we are thrilled to have two international tutors (from Australia and Canada) alongside our tutors from around Aotearoa.

Choose from the 7 options - 2 x 4-day courses or 4 x 2-day courses and/or the open studio with accommodation and meals all on site.

Workshops: 4-day $410 or $396, 2-day $205 or $198

Workshops are on Monday, Tuesday, then again on Thursday, Friday leaving a free day on Wednesday to explore Hamilton's galleries, cafes, sight see, etc.

*There will be an extra cost for materials specific to each workshop. You will be informed with workshop confirmation.

There is a small extra cost for the international tutor workshops.

Accommodation and meals: $615

Waikato Diocesan for Girls Hostel, 660 River Road, Chartwell, Hamilton 3210 from Sunday 12 - Friday 17 January 2025. Your booking is an all inclusive cost to cover 5 nights, 5 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 3 dinners. Specific diets are available on request, some extra charges will apply.

Monday 13 to Friday 17 January (free day on the Wednesday)

The Open Studio option is perfect for those members who would like to immerse themselves in printmaking and meeting other printmakers, but may prefer to work on their own project.

Or you might book a Monday/Tuesday workshop and want to continue working on that technique to embed the learning and enjoy a few more days of the Summer School vibe.

Please note:

PCANZ reserves the right to cancel this option if there are not enough numbers to pay for the extra classroom.
Numbers are limited.
This is not an art room with a wet area, so there will be strict parameters around keeping the room clean.
There will be a press available.
Students will need to bring all their own gear for what they want to do.

Cancellation policy - Cancellations of the 50% deposit will be refunded less 15% administration fee until early November. Cancellation of full payment after 20 November - there will be no refunds unless in exceptional circumstances (at the discretion of the Executive).

7. Open Studio: 2 or 4 days - $50 per day
